There was a bad accident tonight in Bedford County... the word from the scene was that a drunk driver hit a van...apparently a TRBC/LU family was in the van. Pray that everyone makes it through... there were three different medic helicopters brought to the scene, so it looks pretty bad.

A family of four is still in the hospital Monday after a head-on collision in Bedford County on Sunday evening.
Corey Dennis Peters, 26, of Big Island was driving a 1979 Chevrolet pickup truck when it struck a minivan on Waterlick Road, police said.
In the 2003 Toyota minivan were Andrew Kern Barrick, 40, his wife, Linda, their 15-year-old daughter and 11-year-old son, police said.
Andrew Barrick, Liberty University's director of alumni affairs, was listed in fair condition at Roanoke Memorial Hospital at 11:30 a.m. Monday, said Eric Earnhart, a Carilion spokesman.
The conditions of Linda Barrick and the two children were unavailable Monday morning.
The 15-year-old girl was flown to University of Virginia Medical Center Sunday night. Linda Barrick is at Lynchburg General Hospital, and Andrew and Josh Barrick are at Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
The Rev. Jonathan Falwell, executive pastor of Thomas Road Baptist Church and a friend of the Barricks, said none of the four had yet been discharged from hospitals.
They were driving home from church when the accident occurred around 8:30 p.m., he said.
Peters was flown to Lynchburg General Hospital. His condition was unavailable Monday morning.
He was charged with driving under the influence.
Moments before the wreck, Peters had been involved in a hit-and-run accident on Timberlake Road, police said.
The driver followed Peters and called police.
Campbell County sheriff's deputies caught up with Peters at Thomas Jefferson and Omni roads, near Waterlick Road, where a deputy found him slumped over the wheel of his truck, police said.
A deputy turned the truck off and told him the other driver from the hit-and-run was there, and they needed to exchange information.
Police said Peters restarted his truck and sped off. When they caught up with him, he had struck the minivan.
Police are investigating.

they announced this in convo this morning
I went to school with Hindson's daughter (as did many of us old hags). And I believe Andy has dropped by our board a few times. They will certainly be on our prayer list today as well.
