Since I am 100% certain that my GF has no idea this site exists I'm going to post this.

I'll be popping the question after 5 years of dating the most amazing woman in the world in 10 days. lots of planning still to be done and praying for good weather at the beach. your prayers would be greatly appreciated. Thanks fellas.

Good luck man! I knew she would say yes but I was still so nervous the day I asked my wife to marry me.

Praying for sure

5 years worth of dating in just 10 days. Wow. You crammed a lot in just a couple of weeks.

Seriously though, congrats! :)

COngrats to you FFG...I think all of us that are married on the board can share in the nervousness and the great many prayers that everything works out just right for your proposal. I know when I asked my wife last year it was far from perfect, but at the end of the day, she will remember it for how it ended.

I was hoping to propose outside on the deck of the lodge at Snowflex but it started raining as we arrived so I did it in front of the fire instead

Good to hear you're planning something awesome. It's 100% worth the effort to get creative and make it uniquely special.

Isn't it a rule that couples eventually have to go back to the place they got engaged? Sneaking into SnowFlex is going to be quite difficult.

Oh, and make sure the bulge in your pants isn't too noticeable. Once she gets suspicious, she'll immediately look at your pockets to see if you're packing ring.

Alina and I have been back to the lodge a couple times since I proposed to her. Id like to take her and Michael (our soon coming son) there to go tubing at some point after he is born.

Anyway, best wishes on your proposal tomorrow FFG. Will be praying for you

No word on if he survived?

Y'all talk about going back to the place of proposal. Ours was swallowed up by the new Tucker Center on the GW campus. I always joke that taking my wife over to the lake to propose on a freezing December day around dusk was all planning, that if she had said 'no', I just would have left her there to freeze to death. She still doesn't find the humor in that... I wonder why. :P That was December, 2001, this August will mark 11 blessed years.

I survived! and She said YES! thanks for all the prayers fellas. went really well. minus the whole trying to hide the ring during dinner. thankfully I managed with a little discomfort lol. Sunset was awesome. If you want to see pics find me on facebook. She's a happy woman already in wedding planning mode. Mainly because we need to get a lot of things done before I am incapacitated for football season. thanks again fellas God Bless.

It has worked 15 years and counting for us! Check out the Chapel and post pics, it will freak everyone out! It's down past Mandalay Bay on the other side of the street
And you MUST eat at Batistas Hole on the Wall It's behind Terrible Bills ( if that's still the name) casino. If you do nothing else EAT THERE!
