I normally dont go into my personal relationship with God, nor my daily devotions or scripture readings, but tonight was really moving for me.

2010 and 2012 were rough years for me and job hunting has been stressful, but reading Proverbs tonight and spending time talking to God was more than it has been in a long time. I know we can go through the motions when the "high" is gone; however tonight was just a refreshing taste of what all God has in store for us. Praise God for his love and mercy...this is just a thankful praise that I wanted to share with flamefans

I find that most of my significant spiritual moments tend to occur when I am nowhere near my highs. Thanks for sharing.

I'm preaching from Proverbs 3 this weekend... and have been digging through the entire book lately. I'm coming from the other end of the spectrum, 2011 was perhaps the greatest year for me professionally as I've ever had but still find myself struggling personally. Prov. 3:1-2 struck me right in the heart: "...store my commands in your heart. For they will bring you many days, a full life, and well being."

I hope we all take a few moments to pause and reflect on Scripture as begin a new year.
