Hey guys, I just got back from the hospital a couple hours ago after having surgery to remove my gall bladder which had become quite inflamed. Pray for me as I recover because the timing of it could not have been worse and I need to get things squared away with school as well as figure out my travel plans for this weekend as I dont think I will be able to drive four hours this soon after surgery

will do. take your time w/ the recovery... g/b surgery is no joke. It will probably be a week or so before you are up and around like normal.

Thanks guys...bringing food would be encouraged as well as I havent been able to eat much the last couple days because Ive been laid up in bed

What kind of food, BJ?

Nothing real heavy the surgeon said before they sent me home. They said I cant have steak for now but things like baked chicken, baked fish,turkey, things like that. they are fine with me having a salad with light dressing and fresh fruit too. They really want me to stay away from fried food and stuff that is real high in fat content since I dont have my gall bladder anymore

Wanted to update everybody...Im slowly getting better. I can get up and around for short periods but my energy levels are pretty down. I have a follow up appointment with the surgeon after the break so hopefully the signs are good from that appointment

Quick update: My recovery is about complete. Im still kinda down on my energy levels and my appetite but the pain for the most part is gone. Now its just a matter of adjusting to life sans gall bladder and being extra careful what I eat.

Well I woke up this morning and I had no voice. Ive been drinking as much tea as I can get my hands on and have throat lozenges with me as well. prayers for a speedy recovery as obviously I cant broadcast if I cant talk.
