Hey everyone,
I just got called for an interview for a promotion in the DDS office in Fairfax. It is on Monday at 1 PM. I would appreciate your prayers that it go well and if I get the position that God will give me the wisdom as to what to do regarding accepting and whether or not to move.

Forget about less work. If you are relocating from Roanoke to Fairfax, you will need MORE MONEY!

A ton more. But I assume you will get more, considering I'm sure if the job is in Fairfax, the cost of living would be included.

It's one of the benefits of living in Southwest Virginia, low cost of living that we enjoy compared to everyone else.

The state does adjust its payscales for employees in Northern Virginia due to the cost of living.

Thanks everyone, including Chancellor Falwell, I appreciate it. I think it went ok, not great but I definitely don't feel like I choked either. We'll see, its in God's hands now, I'm just happy its over with.

Found out I didn't get it, they went with someone more tenured and experienced, and also in that office lol. 99.9% don't get this position the first time they apply, and I have gained valuable interview experience and insight into it, and I will go for it again.

Time to go for it again...same position, this time in the Norfolk office. Again, I ask for your prayers, this time that I can take the things I learned from the last interview and improve my performance and, hopeully, land it this time.

I did not get the exact position I interviewed in Norfolk for, but I came in 2nd. They just had another one step down, and I got a job offer. I'm close to accepting, so pray the living situation and house situation works itself out. I have until Monday to decide.
