I haven't posted on this wall for a while. My former roommate, (who uses the alias jacksparrow on here) is a LU grad, andI used to come on here to debate college football and academics with some of you after he left the page up. Well, I want to apologize for my arrogant and selfish remarks.
Anyway, the main reason I came on here tonight was because I also want to let you know that I heard about Lucas, a member of Sounds of Liberty, who will be undergoing surgery to amputate his leg and will need chemotherapy for the aggressive cancer that has attacked him. I don't know Lucas personally, but he is a friend of my bible study leader,Titus Green, who mentioned Lucas' illness during prayer requests.
I just want you all to know that I'll be keeping him in my prayers, especially tomorrow.
News like this causes all of us to pause, put everything else aside, and come together in Christ. Your University is a great institution for placing Christ first. (Which is one reason I almost attended.)For any of you who might be close friends of Lucas, I also pray that you'll be comforted and strengthened by the Holy Spirit during this trying time. Judging from what Titus has told me, Lucas will serve as a great testimony to Christ's love, through the whole process.
Cancer is such a terrible disease and the wife of one of my best friends,Valerie, is undergoing care for stage 4 melanoma, so I can relate to the emotions some of you may be enduring. Just remember Romans 8:28, it's helped me through this time. God Bless and Good night.
