I've got a friend whose wife is a Liberty graduate (2001). They have had a VERY difficult time conceiving the past 3 years and finally got pregnant with twins. She is nearly 30 weeks along, and was sent to the hospital because the babies were having trouble. It looks like they may need to take the babies out. My friend is just weeping because he knows there is a good chance that one or both may have serious complications. Any prayer would be appreciated. He said he will know in the next 24 hours if they will have to remove the babies.

We're praying as well. 30 weeks is actually pretty far along. Hopefully everything will be OK regardless whether they take the babies out early.

I just got a call from his sister-in-law. She is actually 27 weeks along and they are hoping that they can keep the babies inside till at least 30 weeks. Her liver isn't working right and it is making her toxic. If her liver levels stay the same or get lower, they will keep her in the hospital till she gives birth. If her liver levels rise, than the babies have to come out. She told me they are concerned for her life as well as the children. My buddy can't keep from worrying about losing all three. I hope all that makes sense.

Thanks again, I know they are VERY frightened right now!

Yikes. I have a personal connection -- I was born at 28 weeks. Never like to hear stories of others struggling with children, prayers for the family and children here in Lynchburg.

Well, I have heard no news. I'm not sure "no news is good news", but I really appreciate the prayer. Hopefully I'll have something tonight, but will definitely have some info by the end of church tomorrow.

Thanks and keep it up!!

So far so good. They have her stable, but she will not leave the hospital till the babies are delivered. They are checking her liver levels every 6 hours and will decide each day if her and the babies are in danger. Right now the doctors seem to be happy with where her levels are. Unfortunately, she may have to spend 3 months in the hospital. But she certainly is happy that this might just ensure a healthy delivery!

Thanks again for the prayers. She and the babies are by no means out of the woods, but God has heard the prayers of the righteous and has taken care of her. You guys are great!

Bad news!! I got a call this morning at 5:30 a.m. My friend told me that they are taking the babies today. She had a bad night and they are going to take the babies out. They are unsure what to expect, but there is a great chance that these babies will have complications.

Thank you for your prayers. The procedure is dangerous to the mother and the babies, so the please say a quick prayer over the next few hours as this procedure is done.

It is AWESOME how God protects us. Both boys were born and are breathing on their own. The doctors were VERY pleased that they came out with no complications so far. Further tests will be done to show whether they have heart/lung/organ defects, but as of right now they couldn't be more pleased with how it turned out.

Thanks for your prayers!!

Fantastic! I'm sure doctors will keep a watchful eye on them for quite awhile as precautionary measures.
