Our Christian foundation is what makes our university unique. This is the place to bring prayer requests, discuss theological issues and how to become better Champions for Christ.

Last night we did a combined middle school and high school worship night called No Turning Back. It was all centered around baptisms. We have somewhere between 425-450 middle school students, high school students, leaders, and parents there. We've got a highlight video being put together for this weekend that I'll post when it's finished, but I wanted to put this on here:

Very cool! Hopefully your staff does a good job sharing this in the main worship center on Sunday. Too often much of the church doesn't see the good in Student Ministries because it is hidden inside these types of nights. That's why the blue hairs are so quick to complain about these kids and their texting.

We're showing a video of it during our announcements and then our senior pastor is showing about 15-20 pictures during his talk. This week we're announcing our new student ministries addition so we're definitely getting to leverage it all.

So true. It seems with larger churches sometimes other minis tires such as youth ministry or world missions sometimes go on without ever being talked about. Our church has great world missions and a great youth ministry but you wouldn't know it unless you got involved with those things because the church does a poor job talking about teams when they come back or the full time missionaries we support or the 100's of kids coming to know Christ and actually growing.

I love all the ministry opportunities our church offers but the lack of communication about a lot of the ministries is an area that has increasingly frustrated me.
