Hey guys I don't normally do this but today was probably one of the most stressful days ever. I live just north of atlanta and as most of you have seen we didn't get the best weather down here in the past two days. I was unable to get to my house for 3 hours after leaving work early today and had to help cut some trees down to actually get home. Now I'm unable to leave and our basement has flooded through the finished and unfinished parts and everything will have to be gutted and re done. I'm planning a trip this weekend to Lynchburg and could use some prayer in getting through the rest of the week helping my parents clean up and work at the same time. (if i have work). Thanks guys much appreciated.

P.s to all the guys on twitter from the board who were helping me keep sane throughout the day, thank you. It really did mean a lot.

I was blessed to have less damage than most. there are a ton of people out there with no homes right now. A lot of people don't have flood insurance here either especially in the northern suburbs.

We had family scheduled to drive through Atlanta yesterday and they had to detour through Jacksonville and then head up the coast.

The scenes from the past two days there look like what we get in Houston every few years. From experience, the cleanup won't be fun.

Praying for everyone in Georgia to be safe amidst the storms.

Update on the floods. its been a blessing to see sun the past two days. some major highways are still closed in places but for the most part water is receding quickly and everyone has started cleanup. we stripped all the carpet out after moving everything from our basement and will hopefully get someone in to re do sheetrock as well. Some of my coworkers are still without power and unable to make it to work without having to drive 20 miles out of the way. so continued prayer is always welcome. Thanks for the prayers guys!

It was also cool to see how my old COMS classmate Brian Bloye at West Ridge was able to organize the relief efforts with Samaritans Purse and TRBC.
