Hi all...quick prayer request...and I'd take suggestions...
Anyway, my wife works as a cashier at a hospital.
During her performance review at work, she was told there was a complaint from an African-American person that she was prejudice. This person (her manager would not give the name)...wrote an email that said, "She slaps the change in my hand like she's afraid to touch my hand"
That was the complaint. If it happens again, her supervisor said she may be put on probation - which would probably affect the grant from the hospital that she currently has as she's studying to be a PTA.
The thing is...my wife worked at Goody's for over 5 years...some of her best friends to this day are African-American, and she had an African-american manager (he'd probably be willing to write a letter stating that he never saw her have any problems with "prejudice".)
Furthermore, when my wife checked the day of the complaint against her calandar - she was on vacation that day - we were in Williamsburg.
Well, my wife was real upset about it...so just pray that everything goes better. And the question is, they actually put this in her file...should she write a response to HR stating she wasn't working that day, and maybe include a reference letter...to me it's almost like someone was trying to slander her. Or should she just ignore this and go on.
She's worked at the hospital about 3 years...
Please pray - and thanks!
