I haven't been able to find a job since graduating last year (other than working part-time at Sherwin-Williams). I'm getting married in September, so I need to find something soon so that I can support my wife and I and we don't have to live at my mom's house (awkward...).

I have two job interviews this week... one tommorrow (Monday) in Raleigh for a marketing company and one on Thursday for the Assistant County Manager position(which I prefer over the marketing job... I'd actually like to use my degree for a career.)

the Assistant Manager thing sounds intriguing. Best wishes- whatever is in God's plan for you WILL come about- so take some comfort in that. It works for me, thats for sure.

I'm sure SCAR would back me up, too- it seems like whenever our careers go into a state of transition- things always work together for good.

Keep praying and God will provide. Sometimes it comes from the most unexpected places.

Job Interview #1 in Raleigh today.

The interview was okay, but I'm skeptical about the "business." Basically, it sounds like a pyramid. I start off as a team member(1 of a team of about 10), work up to a team manager (manage my team of 5-10 people), then work up to a supervisor (which supervises about 20 teams). Whatever they make, I make in return, and my supervisor would make as well. He also said pay was based off commission and I could put as many hours into it as I wanted. This guy was probably younger than me also. The office building was a dump, and had a peice of paper on the door that said "ZMS Marketing".

Last time I go looking on worktriangle.com for jobs.

If you don't take that job offer, I want to tell you how you can be an IBO, and make tons of money, I am already a Diamond member, myself.... NO it's not Quixtar! We just refer people to Quixstar, totally different, and not the same thing at all.

Yeah, you should let that one go, IMO. I worked for a similar company in Raleigh right after community college. They branded themselves as "door-to-door" marketers who happened to offer discount coupons for whatever company we were marketing at the time. If the consumer bought the coupons, you made money...if they didn't, you made no money. We weren't allowed to use negative words like "no", "can't", "won't", etc...around the office...it was very weird. I lasted one week....told them they were nuts & left.

Kind of the same thing blwall.... they were trying to sell season tickets that sports teams couldn't sell at a cheaper price once the tickets went off the market.
