A few weeks ago my little brother (who's 17 and not little at all) hurt his knee at soccer practice. Being a typical 17 year old, he figured he'd play through it and see if it went away and if it didn't, he'd go to the doctor. Well, it didn't go away. He went to one of Wake's orthopedic doctors on Monday to get X-rays. The doctor couldn't get a good picture of the ligaments, so he's going for an MRI tomorrow. Since the doctor messed with his knee and moved it around, it's hurt him a lot worse. The doctor said it's likely a torn meniscus, although he's not sure to what extent. Jordan's having an MRI tomorrow to see exactly how bad it is. He's pretty much come around to the fact that he'll have to have surgery, but it's still tough for a 17-year old athlete. Add to that the pain he's in now. Just pray that the MRI goes well and his knee isn't too bad and that the pain comes down until he has surgery.
On a positive note, he should get to play his senior season this fall no matter what the results of the MRI are. He should be full strength by August.
