In one of the books Im reading, it had this part about how in 1991(when the book came out) it was reported that only 11% of all americans read their bible on a daily basis, and that only 18% of all professing Christians read their bible on a daily basis.

I was just wondering what percentage of those who are on this board read their bible on a daily basis, not to like come down on people or anything, I truly was just wondering as I read that in the book.

Its a really great book, its called the 'Spiritual Disciplines of a Christian Life' by Donald S. Whitney, and in it, in this part, he talks about tribes in africa where there is not single bible in the entire church, so they preach the same six sermons over and over again, about distorted bible stories they try to remember but skew what is said, and how none of them act in a Christ Like manner, yet so many americans have multiple bibles. He added in that 'the greatest dust storm this Country has ever known would occur if every christian dusted off their bible at the same time.'

I know this forum is all about Sports, but this is also Liberty Sports, and I think its good to have discussions about this type of thing as well, sorry if you think this isnt the place to discuss Bible Reading.

I love the topic but I believe it is best suited for the Chapel. So that is where I have moved it here.

And sadly I felt it necessary to add a 5th option.

Looks like it was a good idea to add the 5th option.

I imagined it had, but the only data I had was what was in the book from 1991, so I just went with that. Johnnie Moore talked alot about this today in convo, it was good. Something for of us at Liberty need to hear and remember.

I read mine on a schedule 5 days a week, do quite a bit on Saturdays, and brush up/study on Sunday afternoons for Sunday night. Since I got saved I have been reading my Bible regularly (last 34 years). (Sometimes I miss, and I try to catch up, and if I am on vacation w/my wife, I may suspend operations for "quality time" with her, which I believe to be important.)
