I was at band practice today and a young lady I know, Amy Cooper, is at home because her mother had a stroke just before band camp and is now on a ventilator. Her dad died last year so this is a very tough thing for her to take. She has been trying to soldier on and finish her undergrad but with all this stuff going on it has taken a while. She also was in a serious car accident back in January ane missed significant school time recovering from that. Pray that the Lord gives her strength and people to continue encouraging her in thsi very tough time.

So Im in the band hallway today talking with the percussion instructor (he was helping me dinish a cadence I had written last year) and who should show up behind me but the young lady I asked you to pray for! After checking to make sure my heart was still in my chest from the shock, and giving her a hug, she gave me an update. Her mom is still in the ICU but she was able to make it down for school. She is trying to work out everything with financial aid, and with Dr Kerr and the band so that she can rejoin (although she probably will not be on the field for the first game or two). Continue praying for her and her mom.

Hey guys, another friend of mine, Jessi Breed (she is a freshman) asked me to pray for her friend who is going to have brain surgery on Sunday. She did not go into detail but I wanted to bring this before my fellow FlameFans (and Christians) nonetheless
