Tough times at Randolph College

Only about 600 kids this year, 180 freshmen. Goal is at least 750. It appears men are slow to be attracted to the school.

is that the article that says they think the legal issues hurt enrollment? i don't want to rehash information i learned a few weeks ago if it's in that article.

All the legal issues claimed to have hurt recruiting new students. Plus it's a tough year for private schools with the economy going south in most areas.

Yeah the Article should have been called "Going South at Randolph College"

well i had a phone interview for a job there about two weeks ago. needless to say either the news and advance is painting an exaggerated gloom and doom picture of the situation there or randolph is painting an exaggerated rosy picture of their situation. they are making a crap load of facility improvements now and a bunch more are in the future, so I see this as only a small bump in the road. also, I think you have to take into account the number of kids who transferred who ended up not liking the school after being there for a year as co-ed...
