Liberty University employees hang ‘Red Hot’ banners on the campus Wednesday afternoon. The new Red Hot spirit initiative, supported by the school’s Alumni Association, will include Red Hot-themed T-shirts and gear for fans at Flames sporting events. In addition to Red Hot flags decorating university grounds, LU Flames logos will be painted on campus roads.

LU logos on the road? Interesting. Don't they do that in parts of Charlottesville, too?

You also see Tiger Paws all over the roads around Clemson.

I like that. UVA has something similar as well. As do most colleges I guess. I always thought the V's were leading you somewhere. Like to the stadium or something. But they dont.

Hmm...I've never noticed any LU logos on the road in Charlottesville, but I'll have to check next time I go through there.

LC has an interlocking \"LC\" painted on the road at the main entrance. it looks retarded though.

This has been in the works for a while. All of the freshmen are getting Red Hot t-shirts. They're going to be selling those shirts to current student/alumni for pretty cheap. Blwall did the designs. They're trying to connect with everyone a lot better than they have been.

The road is just the athletic logo. Then in front of the religion hall is the monogram.

Why did you cut the eagle's head off an leave us only with tribal flames?

Posted: August 14th, 2008, 9:41 am

It's not supposed to be the eagle. It's supposed to be flames.

I think my brain only associates that logo with an eagle on it...b/c to me it looks like the eagle did a nose dive

Other than that Great job BL! LoL

They wanted something to help tie things together...the new campaign with current brand identity. Those flames are altered & different than the flames on the eagle logo...not by much, but enough.
