a few more pics on the progress of the church and new dorms.

Now that's what I'm talking about, smoothie. The progress is impressive ... particularly on the dorms.

im gonna try to get photo updates weekly after church. things are progressing nicely.

the brickwork is going up in a steady pace on the dorms, and the church is only 29 days away from completion!

Figures, my dorm isn't even close to being ready. Hotel, round 2!

Hey, whichever hotel you are in can't be as bad as the old harvey motel where they put us back in the day. Old hags no what I'm talking about. But I noticed on my last trip there that the dump no longer exists there at the intersection of Fort Avenue & Wards Rd.

Sly...the men, when East Campus was first built with only 6 dorms got the Ramada...oh the days of parking tickets for parking in P1, having cable, keycards as roomkeys, and roomchecks but no maid service...at least I'm going back to one of the originals, so no hotel for me.

The Ramada is like the W compared to that old motel with the pink rabbit on the sign.

I'm going to be on 20-4. So, let's hope they don't rush TOO much.

Harvey's got flooded out in the spring of '94. Total loss. That summer they sold off the furniture and I got 2 desks, 2 chairs, a nightstand and a half-dozen lamps for $25. They wanted me to take a mattress too but, after seeing all the used condoms just laying around, I didn't even want to stand downwind of one let alone sleep on it.

Harvey made out like a bandit. Insurance $ for the hotel and Kroger paid him big $ for the land.

I would but I will be doing the same on 20-4. 16 was my sister dorm a few years ago when I was in 7, lol.

harveys......wow a blast form the past. some of the rule breaking students used to go there from what i hear during my freshman year.

Well, when the first dorms on East went up-we were living in hotels...then along came 13 more that got completed in time...I think it'll be close with these, and while I'm not expecting you will, I also wouldn't be surprised if you did end up in a hotel for a couple weeks.

im bringing a moped to school to get from east to main and whatnot, for anyone whos lived on east before, is there anywhere to like lock up a moped or anything?

Every dorm has a bike rack, and one guy used that-looked kinda comical

will a moped fit into a bike rack?
