The armed robbery on the Blackwater Creek Trail over the weekend has left some of the trail’s users concerned about their safety. A man walking along the trail near the area under the Rivermont Avenue bridge was robbed at gunpoint Sunday at about 2:30 p.m. by a man who asked him for help with his bicycle, according to police. The suspect, described as a white man in his early 40s, about 6 feet, 4 inches and weighing between 300 and 350 pounds, has not yet been arrested.

Sounds like we need Medic on patrol ('wondering if he could take down a 6'4" 300 pounder).

I was thinking about if the victim was packing. I don't think it would have made a difference. They guy got the jump on him with a gun. It's not like he would allow him to get his own gun out. And I'm pretty sure if you fire on someone who's running away, even if they have your wallet, you'll be charged and most likely sued.

Was he also wearing a robe? I'm curious in light of the title of this thread (which I understand was started by an English professor)
