I normally avoid Wal-Mart on Wards like the plague. However, I had to go there today. How long have they been redoing the inside and moving everything around? It looks like they're trying to update the store to look like the newer ones.

I thought this was going to be a weather report.

I was in the store tonight and Im not sure when they started the remodel but my cahsier said it is set to continue until august, i assume that the plan is to get all the work done before college starts up. It does look alot better inside and its good to see that all the money being made there is being reinvested to make the store better and more customer friendly

I have friend who is installing new security cameras at Wal-Mart during the 3rd shift so please don't try the old "5 fingered discount."

Went there last saturday, and the sign when you enter said it had 46 more days to go. It's been going on for nearly a month or more now as well. I'll be glad when it's over, whenever I have to find something I have to search all over the store because they keep moving different things to temporary locations so some stuff is in a different location every week.

i hate having to walk all over the store and still not finding what i'm looking for. i've started going to target now until the construction is done because it is ridiculous in there

My general rule is if you can get it at Target, get it at Target. I hope these changes in Wal-Mart include doing something about the traffic.

Wal-mart is funny now because nobody knows where anything is. When you finally find what you were looking for there's some other dude that just found it too. Everybody you pass in there is looking for something they used to know right where it was.

Another reason I only go to Target
I don't know when you guys will realize that everything you can get at Wal-Mart you can get at Target for the same price or cheaper and you don't have to deal with all the congestion and filth at Wal-Mart.

man, some of you guys are snobs. Our Target doesn't have a very big grocery section.

not true. i still prefer target, but there are some items that are cheaper at wal-mart.

And do they have $4 generic prescriptions?

I'm not sure. I haven't heard of it but I do know a lot of places are rolling out something similar since Walmart did it.

That's the only reason I went to Wal-Mart yesterday. I ended up getting some groceries while I was waiting, but cheap prescriptions is what I went for.

I mainly said that to get some of you going, but seriously there is no reason to have to go to wal-mart. Yeah they have groceries, though I’d rather go to Food Lion or Kroger than even attempt to go to wal-mart. Same thing with the prescriptions.
I don’t know what items you are referring to smoothie, but the list is very, very small.

as stupid as this sounds, I go to Walmart for groceries because I don't carry around those retarded MVP cards. Or Kroger Cards. You get taken to the cleaners at those places if you don't have one.

It takes 5 minutes to get one, and even if you don't have one just tell them and they usually have one they swipe anyways.

hey, I said it sounds stupid. If I am there though, I'll normally get somebody else in line to swipe their card for me. Never had the cashier have a "store" one.

I normally get groceries at Food Lion, just happened to go to Wal-Mart yesterday. The prescription was cheaper than CVS would've been.

It depends on where you go, but the Food Lion I normally go to they always have a store one. I have the mvp card and the Kroger card so it doesn’t matter to me. The one at Kroger is really cool because quarterly they send us coupons in the mail only on the products we normally buy.
As far as going to wal-mart for one specific thing that you know is cheaper than anywhere else I understand (but it still has to be worth it for me to go there since I despise the place), it’s going there on a usual basis just because that’s where you go that I don’t understand.

...and if you have a Kroger card, you're eligible for gas benefits.

I don't see why it's hard to understand. You despise it for some reason, so you don't go there. I don't mind it and I actually like the company itself, so I'll normally go there.

Psst - He used to work for Target. He might even still work for them.
