This genre created some serious debate the last time around. Vinny's captured the title but let's see how the slices stack up in 2008.

Chicago on the James. It is was just a little bit less sweet it would be a pizza GOAT. But even with that minor problem it's the best in Lynchburg.

Upper Crust...although Ledo's is right there.

This one's tough. Upper Crust is really good and so is Ledo's, but they're completely different.
Just because it's easier to get to and I eat their more often, I'm going Ledo's knowing full well that this Chicago on the James place could be amazing.
We need a Mellow Mushroom.

Monte Carlo is fantastic. A couple of buddies of mine are going to be working the ovens at the new pizza joint downstairs at Vines (used to be Trotter's). Should be opening this week.

Across the street from the Bank of the James building. Also, two down from the tobacco shop so you can get a good smoke afterwards

I voted for the OIP (The one on Forest Rd, not on 29 South)... the buffet is not so good, but when you order a pizza, it's very good, along with the breadsticks. And the waitresses look stoned.

I normally just stick with Little Ceasar's. $5.55 for a large pizza is hard to beat. Sure it's not the best tasting, but theres not a better value for your money as far as I'm concerned.

Go to Ledo's and get a small. It's a dollar more and five times better.

I'd end up spending more than a dollar in gas driving between Little Caesar's and Ledo's so I'll stick with Little Caesar's.

Ledo's and Uppercrust were always my favorite. But before the end of the semester I discovered that Lil Cucci's is amazing! The owner, Joe, makes an effort to remember your name so that he will know you the next time you come in. He even opened up the place early for me for my graduation. He is that cool! And he makes all the bread fresh with his own recipe. Plus he is italian and knows what he is doing! So my vote went to Lil Cucci's.

From the Timberlake/501 interchange to Ledo's it is 3.1 miles.
From the Timberlake/501 interchange to Little Caesar's it is 2.35 miles.
That is an extra 1.5 miles round trip.
Gas is currently $3.79 per gallon.
Unless you're getting less than 6 miles per gallon, you're not spending a dollar in gas on that extra 1.5 miles round trip.
