Best of Lynchburg '08

It has become a summertime tradition on the board to rate our favorite eating establishments and activities in the Lynchburg area. I am bringing it back this summer using last year's top choices as the primary nominees. I can add more as suggested if there are some new places to take under consideration. This will also serve as a great way to introduce the new folks coming to Lynchburg to where they need to focus their spending.
Since we have added so many new posters in the past year it should provide some fun with their new perspectives. And since this place has grown so fond of arguing lately perhaps we can shift from taking shots at each other in exchange for arguing for choices.

I was going to save that for last. I am adding a bunch of categories shortly. I just put my littlest down for a nap.

That'll be a tough one because you have the college kids who don't eat anything more expensive than Applebee's or Logan's and then you'll have the alum who can afford the better stuff telling us their $40 steak are so much better than the chains.

Then we can have 2 different ones. The main "chain" restaurants and the more expensive ones.

Nominations are already pouring in. But I'm still looking for more suggestions before I post the topics.
And where are some of our food afficionados today? Scar, HMO and badger haven't weighed in yet (pun intended on this subject).

The Millstone Tea Room is in Bedford, & Faria's Twin Oaks is in Forest. If they were in the 'Burg, they'd be the top 2.

I am beginning to wind down this topic. I'll post the winners at the end of the month. If there are any other topics you want to add just let me know. I am still open to nominations for dessert since all of the choices from back in my day are all out of business. I need some help.
