Convo Today...

Jerry Junior making some announcements:
-New student center with a lounge/coffee house type atmosphere on Campus North. (-cough-)
-Indoor Soccer Facility on North.
-CEO (I Think) from Disney will be on campus this weekend to check things out, possibly help out?
There was more, I just don't remember it all.
Also, Aly Fasnacht was named Senior Athlete of the Year.

Oh! I forgot the Ice Cream Truck!
There will be an Ice Cream Truck on campus giving out free Ice Cream to students.

I broke the sliding glass door because I heard the ice cream truck. I love the ice cream truck. The window had just been cleaned so i didnt notice the glass and just yeah I ran right through it.

If I need extra room, I can just slide my TV back against the wall.

Whatever happened to that indoor soccer facility that was supposed to be built up off of Sunnymeade? We had a thread on it a while back, in the days of The Sorcho, but I don't think it happened.

Why would they waste valuable $$$$ on soccer? Funnel that money into something worthwhile.....like the ice cream truck!

i remember talking to someone in the know and hearing that a facility was supposed to be built across candlers mtn rd from the mall (over by the industrial buildings on mayflower dr). i believe the plan is that there are 2-4 indoor soccer fields as well as possibly other businesses (child care, etc...). but this was over a year ago and i haven't heard anything about it since...

More info on the ice cream truck (& wondering if this was Super's suggestion):
Falwell received even more applause when he announced he and his wife Becki’s “little gift” to students for the end of the semester — an ice cream truck that will roam campus between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. on May 1, 2, 5 and 6 offering free ice cream to students.

That was by far the funniest episode of the office in a long time. The whole episode was funny.

the soccer field was donated.
what he said about the student center was that the tower will be converted eventually, but for now they are going to build a student center attached to lahaye.
That was by far the funniest episode of the office in a long time. The whole episode was funny.

This ice cream thing was awesome. Seeing a bunch of football players run outside to get free ice cream, and have another one block the ice cream man in with his car, is great. Not to mention the free ice cream.
