LU mentioned on Late Night with Conan O'Brien

Thought this was worth a mention. Stephen Curry was on Conan tonight and mentioned that he often gets mistaken for his brother, who is going to Liberty next year. People say to him, "You're going to Liberty, right?" to which he replies, "No, I go to Davidson."
That's all.

Surprised at no jabs from Conan on LU. Of course, he probably has no idea where or what Liberty is.

I am fairly certain Liberty will be heard again on Conan once he finds out the Walker, Texas Ranger will be the commencement speaker!!

Every year before the tournament Conan does a bit about "lesser known mascots" in which he names a school in the tournament and then a ridiculous mascot comes out that "never made it". In 03, he had The "Liberty University Dancing Spocs" (Spoc, from Star Trek). It was kind of funny, but cooler that we got some time on the Cone Zone.

umm he does no about LU....
There is a picture in the Falwell museum of Jerry and Conan....
Also, in 2003 James Carville was on the show and Jerry and LU came up...
Conan asked Carville about a recurring guest on CNN's show Crossfire. "What do you think of Jerry Falwell?" to which Carville replied.....um...."I wouldn't tick down his (Jerry's) throat if his heart were on fire...."
That was long ago guys....
