I drove by Bojangles on my way to work this morning and bought a sweet tea and a Cajun biscuit, but when I drove home, I noticed that ALL the signs are gone! I'm guessing our very own Bojangles on Route 221 has closed its doors forever.

Lynchburg has had Popeyes too. It's now Shanghai Express.

I'm going to miss having convenient access to a good barbecue sandwich and seasoned fries. One less decent lunch option for me. :(

I love Bojangles! The Cajun Filet biscuit is great. I'm a big fan of the sausage biscuits too. And down here in NC they have Cheerwine. I'm surprised they're closing. Of course the location wasn't great. Maybe they'll relocate.

Has anyone started a Save Bojangles Facebook group? There's a group for everything else.

AWFUL location...I know it's a busy part of town but nobody goes down there at all...people are going to and from work not thinking about Boberry Biscuits (I love them)

It's like enterprise drive...nobody drives on that thinking...Hmmm maybe I should stop and shop at these stores that are losing money by the day...they think hmmm I'm 15 minutes late for work or hmmm my boss is a complete jackal and I cant wait to drink my stress away

I love Da Bo's....but for some reason, I was never fond of that particular one. Never seemed busy either. The fact that it was right across the street from sheetz doesn't help much either. There used to be a ton back home in Richmond, but they all closed down too, and there are no popeyes either. However, there is a place called Lee's that is really good.

We're on a debate trip and we stop at Bojangles in Charlottesville on the way. One of the most disgusting places I have ever eaten at.

There were flies every where. To remedy that, the wunderkind manager put a bug zapper smack in the middle of the room on a table.

On the way back through, the place was closed.

I don’t like Bojangles. :vomit

Nothing better than a Cajun Filet and some seasoned fries.

RIP.

I loved the food there. I'll miss it. However, I'm surprised it lasted this long. The location wasn't awful. It's right across from a sheetz. But the staff there was terrible. They would just be goofing off in the back the entire time. Very slow service. Friends would pop in to chat while you were ordering. Orders weren't right a lot. Management needed to fire the lot of them and start over. I did love their Boberry Buscuits.

There's been a Bojangle's Coming Soon sign a few miles down 29S near Hyland Heights for a while. I guess we'll just have to wait for that one.

It was long overdue! I love Bojangles and I hated this one. It was not anything to do with location, it was very poorly managed. They got new management 8 or 9 months ago and I thought it'd get better, but it never did. The food was good but they NEVER got my order right once, and the place was DIRTY!
Good riddance as you were a disgrace to the Bojangles name!
I hope they put something back there though as it's right by what is about to be the new main entrance to my church!

Ugh... guess I'll have to limit my Bojangles outings to my days off.

I love Bojangles but that one was terrible. It wasn't worth the drive over there.

I agree with you about the bojangles on 221. I like their chicken but their restaurant was dirty and i thought the service was not good at all. even at times i get food that has been sitting there for hours and i got tired of it and quit going over there.

I will admit to perhaps going by there about 3 months ago to get some cinn biscuits...they were all hard and crunchy....and I figured it was just God teaching me a lesson that I did not need them. Guess it was poor service, instead.

Too bad Bojangles couldn't have held on that long: Baptist churches and fried chicken just seem to go together.

Knuckle, I was wondering if Heritage Baptist was going to put a road through there because it sure looked that way. How many will your new auditorium seat, Knuckle?
