OK, I'm pretty sure I'm not ready for the amount of smack talk that I'm going to take after I post this, but. . .
For those who like old shows like:
Rockford Files, Happy Days, Hogan's Heros, Get Smart, Air Wolf, Night Rider, The Fugitive, The Monkeys, Ironside, Gunsmoke, Mission Impossible, Hawaii 5-0, Magnum P.I., Etc.
You are going to love RTN!
We launched it last Thursday on 13-2 our SD (over the air) channel. You can only receive it (right now) with a digital TV and either Rabbit Ears or a antanne (which is the best way to se any digital channels anyway). Soon (like 2 months or so) it will appear on cable digital tiers like WDBJ's My Network TV.
Try it, you'll like it.

They are running shows that they have perpetual rights to air.

Are you guys planning a non-stop weather channel on your other secondary channel like most of America?

I think they've been doing that for a while now.

I'll try to answer some of the questions:
13-2 is Standard definition Digital and will not be HD 13-1 is HD
A-team is one of the shows on the weekends (I just listed a few examples)
We will not do a perpetual WX channel and haven't ever. We've been simulcasting regular 13 programming on all 3 until now. We wanted something different that folks would actually watch

Weather gets watched. Its practically the only reason local news still exists in many markets.

Yea, because TV over the net is such great quality! These shows have been digitally re-mastered from the original film or tape and look very good.

I was just giving an option for "those on the go" or "those that do not live in Lynchburg."

Some more vintage sitcoms would be good to add too: Diff'rent Strokes, Family Ties, Who's The Boss and Coach come to mind. Sledge Hammer was a good one too.

excuse my ignorance, but 13-2, what?!

That is the digital spectrum. The local digital channels have what is called sub-channels. 13-1, 10-1, 7-1, 27-1 are the main channels. 7-2 is the MYTV; 10-2 is weather, 13-2 is now Retro, and 27-2 is the digital simulcast of 5-analog.

Not yet, but the shows will change from time to time.
Some others I didn't mention:
Quincy, Happy Days, Matlock, Perry Mason, The Untouchables, Bonanza, Simon & Simon, Emergency, and more!

I will ask about Sledge Hammer. That was a funny show. I aired it for like 1 1/2 years when I did master control at another station in the '80s.
Here's a quick clip for those who've not seen it. http://youtube.com/watch?v=fktjw7gNv3M&feature=related
