Hey guys. I know there have been some jokes made about how my posting has been down this semester, and this is one of the reasons why. The Sport Marketing class at Liberty is hosting a golf tournament. We are putting on the event starting with a $0 budget. The reason I'm posting this here is two fold. The first reason is to invite anyone in the Lynchburg area to play in the tournament. It is being held April 12th at Ivy Hills Golf Club in Forest. The cost is $200 for a team of four ($50 per player). The second reason is to ask for sponsorships or donations of any kind.
All of the proceeds of the tournament are going to Game Changers. For those that don't know, Game Changers was started by Dalton Stoltz. Dalton's been a goalie on the hockey team the past four years, and this is an organization he's started. It's a Sport Ministry program that I feel very strongly about and would feel that way even if I wasn't helping to promote them. You can find out more about Game Changers at their website (http://www.gamechangers.org) or I can tell you more in a PM or e-mail if you'd like.
I know we have business owners on here, as well as people who enjoy playing golf. This tournament is a great way to advertise your company or just have fun on a Saturday morning. Last semester was the first time they had put on the tournament and it went very well. There are different tiers of sponsorship that is available with different incentives for each one.
One thing specifically that I wanted to throw out there was the idea of a FlameFans.com hole sponsor. We always talk about wanting to get more people on here and spread the word about FlameFans, and this is a chance to do that. A hole sponsor costs $150, which is only $10 from 15 people on here. We raised $250 last year easily to join the Flames Club, so $150 shouldn't be a problem. Not only would it get the website out in the public eye, but it'd support one of our own members and a great ministry program.
If you'd like more information on playing, sponsoring, or Game Changers please feel free to PM me or e-mail me at jonathan.carone@gmail.com. Game Changers is something I really believe in and want to see it succeed.
Thanks for taking the time to read all of this. I know it was kind of long.
