LU Operating on 1 Hour Delay, Opening at 9AM

Liberty University will be operating on a 1 hour delay on Wednesday, February 13, 2008.

The university will open at 9AM.

Essential personnel must report to work, all non-essential personnel report 1 hour after normal operating hours, no later than 9AM.

I honestly believe it's b/c JJ saw a car turned over on a 460 ramp! B/c I have never seen LU have a delay when no other High Schools were even closed and only Lynchburg City had an 1 hour delay...good for yall!

I bashed them when they were bad, & I'll praise them when the are good. Great job calling this early. A lot of my coworkers were shocked that it was done so early......still pleased, but shocked given LU's past reputation regarding these situations.

They probably called it early cause it was bad early. the roads were a little slick at 6pm last night, so they knew it would only get worse.

Better to be safe than sorry. I too was critical of the last closure coming at 737...and I appreciated knowing well in advance about today's delay.
