Carlton Madden felt a wave of relief rush over him when he walked into the Lynchburg Police Department on Wednesday night and heard his 5-year-old daughter’s voice for the first time in four years.

She had been kidnapped when she was just a year old. The U.S. Marshals Service and Lynchburg Police found the girl Wednesday night, living with her maternal grandparents and six other children in an apartment on Wise Street.

What a bizarre story with the cult aspect. I assumed at the beginning it was just a custody deal until I read deeper into the story.
