After all, you guys/gals know how I like to self promote. We have invested in a new company called eco-x sports, it's a company that will organize and manage various races in and around Central Virginia. We have 3 exclusive races right now - Mountain Masochist Trail Run (25 year old race started by Dr. David Horton - that we are taking over in 2008), Terrapin Mountain Marathon and 1/2 Marathon (resurrecting this race from a little break) and Grindstone 100 (First Annual 100 MILE race kicking off on October 3rd). Clark Zealand, one of the top ultra-marathon runners in the World is partnering with us, running this company and is bring some real big time experience to these races.

The next race will be Terrapin - and this is where I need your help. We have put posters all over campuses of all the colleges and universities around here and need your help promoting it. The race will be held March 29th and start at the Sedalia Center at 7:00 a.m. This is a great starter race for anyone looking to get into Trail running. It's a beautiful course and the easiest of all our races. I'm hoping as viral as this board is - you can help get the word out. I'm attaching the poster we put up - if anyone has a place to hang - that would be great and also check out http://www.eco-xsports.com for more details. Come on - let's get 25 from this board to have a little FlameFans side race:) OK - at least the 1/2!!! OK - at least start the race - and we would calculate time - just who finishes

Here is the poster if you would like to print and post:

Alright ladies, ive been training for a half-marathon, mine is 2 weeks prior to this one in Va Beach. I know we have some other runners on this site anyone else from FF going to run in this with me? I for one enjoy the outdoors as much as the next person and i see the scenery alone makes this one worth it to me.

I am training for the Disney Half marathon and Miami ING Full Marathon, but those aren't for almost a year. If I were up in Virginia, I would be all over this one!

Come on vastrightwinger - what a great excuse to visit!!! This will be better than Disney's - we have hills to run down and great views - they have humid, hot days and only tourist to look at.

I would love to, and if I can get away from work I will be there. The hills are actually what scares me because all we have down here in sofla is flatland. I live 8 feet about sea level. Kinda hard to train for those hills down here. I will do what I can.
