Sure was slippery walking to my mailbox this morning. I almost feel down walking back with my fishwrap.

The university is already making preparations:

Due to the forecasted threat of severe weather, the second floor ILRC computer labs won't be opening until 7:30 a.m. on Friday, February 1. Even if for some reason the remainder of the campus has a weather related delay or campus closing, we intend to have both floors of the ILRC open for our residential students beginning at 7:30 a.m..

The hour by hour forecast on weather.com says it will be freezing rain until the 11 AM hour on Friday... with regular rain continuing through the night...

Which frustrates the frap out of me.

If they would cancel classes for safety reasons on a Tuesday, why not cancel under the same conditions on a Friday?

Went to Wal-Mart tonight (and no...it wasn't to buy bread and milk, I ran outta toothpaste and I needed some, especially before the "Beach Trip" in SC) and it was PACKED. I immediately thought of this thread.

Their was some icing...on my deck...on my windshield. Given the information they had last night, the school made a very good decision.
