If any of you will still be around, start calling, texting, starting facebook groups, etc. now. I don't want to have to hear complaints about how you didn't know if it was real or if someone was getting stabbed on the crapper again.

What do we do if we are giving/taking a final exam at that hour? Leave the building or just work though the sirens?

You can only stop working on Wednesdays at 10am. You know that.

Sweet...do it smack dab in the middle of finals...
...would it have made too much sense to do it on Reading Day, instead?

hopefully they mention that they will also be turning off the electricity in each dorm over the break as well...

That's what I thought initially, Fumble, but we wouldn't want to disturb all of our students who are

I mean
studying today for our exams.

haha...its so true. How many students are using this day to actually study?? they may study at some point tonight for a final they have tomorrow...but come on?? Am I complaining?? no..this is the first time in a long time I was able to sleep in and I enjoyed every minute of it

I slept in. Then I went to school, put a project together, and turned it in. I'll probably take a nap sometime today, then use the rest of the day to clean my house up because it's a complete mess. I won't study til the weekend because my two tough finals are Monday and Tuesday.

And no one is studying tonight because it's open dorms. People plan like crazy and get way too overly excited to be able to go in the dorms of the opposite sex.

lol...I actually don't think open dorms is under the purview of student activities. Im going to see a few friends of mine briefly and then Im headed to one of my guy friends on the hill because a bunch of people I know are stopping by there when the girls are let into the guys dorms

Or I could just have anyone come over at any time here.

I've never heard of Reading Day. Sounds like something we would have had in first grade.

A ton of schools have it. They end school on Tuesday/Wednesday, give the next day as a "study day," and then start exams on Thursday/Friday.

You can't, and if you did, I would tell on you and you'd get reps and then you'd get fined because you already have the maximum amount of nonfinable reps. So eat that run-on sentence.

Was the Open Dorm night created to have the girls help the guys pass the white glove inspection? Just wondering.

Do you realize how many people have turned down going to Applebee's for the call-in show because of open dorms? Seriously? Why is it a big deal? I'm gonna have to dig up last year's thread about it.

It only happens once a year!!!!!!! I think it's the chance that a girl might forget and take a shower or something.

Couldn't be as bad as the time they turned off the plumbing in our dorm one Saturday. Couldn't take a shower, couldn't flush the toilet -- i mean, people would take a dump into a toilet that hadn't been flushed -- a few people resorted to peeing in the drain -- and for some reason, a guy deuce'd in the shower.
Oh, and I lived on a football dorm.

Sounds like a normal night in the Medic dorm room...
