Hmm, if this thing is ready by fall, any chance LU will ever field a skiing team?

I'm actually more intrigued by the idea now than I was when it was first discussed. I don;'t want to see it from the campus but it'd be great to have to close by.

Don't let the "locals" on those sites get to you JDUB. I'm convinced there are two or three people who posts with multiple names on the N&A site (and sometimes even pretend to be LU and TRBC members).

I know people wonder what's going on here, but for all the complaints about there being "nothing to do around here", it shouldn't be a huge mystery as to what they're thinking.

Yeah, I now forbid myself from reading the N&A letterstotheeditor. Haven't been there in a couple months, and it has dramatically reduced my levels of rage and violent outbursts, not to mention acts of random violence.

I loved the U-Tube video, but my question is, if this is such a great surface, why has no other place in America tried this before us?

Beats me. It was introduced in '96, according to everyone's favorite source.

I sure thought Dollywood would have something like this before us, or Six Flags, Busch Gardens, or Disneyworld.

PS, I bet the Lynchburg General ER is drooling at the thought of this.
