LU aviation department plans for new building

A soaring growth rate in Liberty University’s newly accredited aviation department has the program outgrowing its current facilities and looking to build anew at Lynchburg Regional Airport.

School officials submitted preliminary plans Sept. 10 for a two-story, 56,000-square-foot building that they hope to erect at the airport by 2010.

Seriously though, this is great news and its good to see that the Airport officials are beside themselves. Hopefully they'll expand the runway so one day we can train students to fly Boeing 7_7's
