GMTM...I just PRAY that you guys will find SOMETHING...even daily Bible Classes...to air in the 3-4 hour. Anything but the Notorious S.A.S. His act doesn't play well nationally, let alone in our part of the good earth.

That's what he's saying. We need something else from 3-4. SAS is horrible.

I wonder how many stations will jump to the new syndicated Dan Patrick Show.

I will listen to DP. Tirico was OK during his trial...but Kuselias was by far the best. Dana J. is quite good, too.

Kusilius is by far the best.

I'd love to see them bring back Kornheiser though

Sly,

I used to work at a local ESPN Radio affiliate. Every one of them had a deal where we can play whatever is on the network (Sunday Night Football, World Series, or whatever), but it came at a price -- you had to have two hours of Dan Patrick's programming every weekday.

Same thing with FOX Sports radio; you can play whatever you want but you had to have two hours of Jim Rome.

With Dan's departure, I assume ESPN is going to mandate that you have to pick up Tirico for two hours. Is Patrick going to be on Fox Sports? If so, I can't imagine that a) they'd force affiliates to play four hours of its programming and b) any affiliate would even want to surrender radio time to that narcissist.

For the record, the best radio personality on ESPN's network is Jason Smith, the overnight guy. Cowherd what you would get if you told someone to read a headline to a story and formulate a sixth-grade opinion on it without actually reading the rest of the story. Tirico is terrible (ESPN radio affiliates were also forced to carry a one-minute Tirico monologue every day). SAS, that goes without saying. i can't believe that ESPN got rid of David Aldridge, a legitimate journalist, in favor of SAS.

Jeez.
