Anybody know who is speaking for convocation tomorrow? I'm trying to figure if it's worth getting up that early and driving over there?

I hear he'll be coming by the Chickfila in CN to do an official grand opening on the same day.

North is getting a Chick-fil-a? I'm really out of the loop.

I remember one year S. Truett Cathy brought a couple boxes full of those stuffed cows. He was literally mobbed by students who jumped out of their seats (of their own volition, I might add) to get as many of those cows as they could. I thought a riot was going to break out. It reminded me of Bob Barker versus the Samoan woman.

We must have been at LU in the same window, because I remember this epsiode distinctly. Poor Truett almost met his earthly demise that day. Consequently, 01LUGrad also has a funny story about that episode, but you'll have to PM to see if he's interested in divulging it, macphisto

I was also there at that time....this convo really stands out i think to anyone who was present.

The new Campus North cafeteria looks amazing. It doesn't get that busy during the day--it's a nice getaway from the Rot.

Was there a 2nd announcement? or just the one?

Truett Cathy is such an amazing person...I got to meet hn right after convo was over (I couldn't get a picture with him because he had to get over to North Campus and I had to talk to Dr Kerr about a personal matter of mine)
