I agree. These projects can do a lot for a downtown area, and ours certainly needs the help. However, I disagree with the "BHS" commenter on the N&A article. I don't think these projects are any better than what's being done elsewhere in the town. They're just different. I think both have their places and will serve different segments of the population very well. It takes all kinds...and that goes for development, too.

I would love for it to include a nice little music club....but thats just dreaming

This is exciting. The more cool loft apartments the better, I think. It'll hopefully keep the rent somewhat reasonable on those types of residences.
