Best baseball sim ever. I have been playing this all weekend vs the computer. Going through a season with the Red Sox. I usually use Philly in the games I play but I figured I would mix it up. I simulate a lot of the games but I play them through most of the time and I am in 1st place in a tough AL East. So realistic though. Slumps, foul balls, Control issues with a tired pitcher etc. It is great! The catcher even calls the pitches for you and you have the option of shaking him off or accepting. Anyone else out there playing? I played online one game with my boy Sean and I beat him 12-0. I like to bat from the pitcher's view and this game gives me that. SJ you are in trouble when we play. I still owe you for beating me in 2k5. This game blows 2k5 away.

I wasn't a huge fan of "The Show" series. I bought it and ended up trading it in and picking up MVP 05' with some loose change. MVP just won't be beat, IMO.

Play 07 and then let me know. I played 07 MVP and I took it back to get the 05. The Show is it. Go get it and practice up Zach.

I wish! Palpebon has blown 6 saves for me already! I just blew a 10-7 lead in the top of the 9th and lost 11-10. Still in 1st place though. I may have to make a trade for a closer though.

You don't get anyone better then Papelbon. Maybe you need to brush up a little....

07 has some great features....the catcher calling pitches and stuff is great. however, the gameplay is just so horrible that i fell back to mvp 05.

Put the fielding on automatic but put the throwing on manual and it will be much more realistic. The players will move to the right spots depending on their abilities. Manny Ramirez will mis judge some balls and he will throw to the wrong base even when you hit the correct button. But that is Manny being Manny.

pff whats the point in playing if you turn in on automatic...that makes gameplay even worse...

I see your point Mallet...I still love to pla it though. It looks so real with those settings. Also if you log on online from your PS2, you can download various people's sliders to get the most realistic game play settings or at least customize the settings to your liking. I haven't tried that yet though.

You need to come over and play head to head or get online. Maybe next Wed when we go hoop...I am using the Sox and I feel the pressure of the curse even though it has been lifted by the World Series win a few years ago.

Absolutely. I won't get the PS3 until we move into a house probably in early 08.

That explains it. I live in NW Houston and cover the Astros and I'd never pick them for my online team ... even using last season lineup much less this year's.

To be fair, Microsoft is replacing them for free. I mean, I'm no MS fan, and it still sucks, but that's not bad customer service.

I got one of the first ones produced and have never had a problem. I even bought the extended warrantee, which I always preach against because I somewhat expected it to break. I kinda wish it would so I know that they'll make sure it's ok.

finally, the first one they told me to go screw myself....i sold it on ebay for parts and bought a new one some bestbuy gift cards....thats usually the only money i'll ever spend there... that was a blast of a trip:
"would you like the hd-dvd drive? do you need and extra controller? xbox online?"
"no thanks this is just replacing a broken one"
"would you liek the extended warranty"
*runs away*
go to counter
"would you like the hd-dvd drive? do you need and extra controller? xbox online?"
"no please, i'll give you 10 dollars if you ring me up and don't say another word"\
anyway, i guess enough people complained about it because all i got when i searched the net when my first one died was "WTF MICROSOFT RED LIGHTS THEY WONT REPLACE IT" posts and articles... so i called for myself and they wouldn't do anything....i had reciepts and everythign...
