They are fully accredited (or whatever the proper term would be) as a police department. Which means they are more than just simple unarmed security guards. But one of them pulled me over last night. Not on a school road which would be private property, but on Candlers Moutain Rd, a county/city road. Can they do that? I specifically didn't slow down because I knew he wasn't LPD. I almost said something along those lines to him but I didn't want to get him mad just in case they have this citation authority I didn't know about it. He gave me a "warning" but I think that's just because he doesn't have the power to write me a ticket. I mean they would have to have those big ticket sheets that the city/state cops use. It's not like he could slap me with one of those LU tickets. Anybody got a ruling on this?
