Hey, anybody had a chance to see how the changes to the dining hall are coming? I was reminded of that when I saw that the 2007 Block Party was going to be at the Lahaye Student Center parking lot instead of the dining hall lot where it had been each of the last 5 years (at least Im guessing). And as always...

no pics here. new flooring is going in. walls are up and painted different colors but there is still work to be done there. but it is coming along. then the new equipment has to be bought in as well.

Dining services has put out a booklet, "Food Focus" or something like that. The plans for the dining hall are in it.

Let's just say, I would expect to see Obi-Wan, Han, Chewy, Luke, & the droids standing around. It's different.

any chance we can get a picture or scan of the brochure?

Some of the grounds crew guys have told me they have removed something like 400 seats. I wonder if there are any plans to replace those?

I don't have a scanner. But, imagine purple & yellow checkered squares on the floor. Think of it as "The Max" from saved by the bell meets the Cantina from the original Star Wars. It's definitely a new look.

Well, we can change our mascot to a parrot & put it on the shoulder of the Pirate...

i'm going to repel in from the ceiling later on tonight and sneak some pictures. if i'm not arrested, i'll post them.
