I will get there a little before the fireworks...I can't handle all the music they have there....its enough to drive me insane....I worked it last year and wanted to kill myself by hour number 2....but the fireworks were cool

I wonder if I can see the fireworks from my house. If so, no use going to the school and fighting traffic and all of that.

If you want to see LU fireworks but don't want to face the crowds, CVCC is nice location to view the action--bring a blanket or lawn chairs.

I park in front of the East Campus Clubhouse...just walk through the tunnel and hop in the car and hop 460 East for the 45 minute drive to Farmville.

Wish I could but I intern for the Hillcats and we have a game that night.

However, Tuesday we are having our Feed Your Face Night... all you can eat Pizza, Popcorn, hot dogs, hamburgers, peanuts and a ticket for $10.
And then on July 4th we have fireworks.

I know, it's a plug, but hey, I saw the opportunity. GOOOOOOOOOO AMERICA!!!

No use going when I can sit in my bedroom and watch it on tv with no traffic or anything.

One thing I noticed with whoever sang last: they all looked the same. All had on the exact same pair of jeans, with the exact same style of button up shirt with the sleeves rolled up and their hair perfectly "messed up." It's funny.

Tell us more, Smoothy, tell us more. What was so "hillbilly" about it? The people or the programming?
Rural folks do tend to like a good fireworks show, and will come out of the mountains and farm country to see one.

the people.....a clientele of a lot of fat, looks like unbathed people at a fair in a k-mart parking lot. i did not have my camera, but a good idea for next year. i guess this makes me sound like a snob, but it was just my impression. they did have a lot of country music, but it was ok. it was a good program.

I must say, those fireworks last night were some of the best, if not the best, that I have ever seen...better than DisneyWorld, even.

As for it being a "Hillbilly fest,"-Smoothie, you need to come to Heart of Virginia in Farmville so you can see what real hicks, hillbillies, and rednecks are like.

Oh yeah, I parked on East Campus as usual, my parents were in their car in the parking lot over on North Campus when I was still in the Bill...by the time I got to my car and on 460, they were still in the parking lot
If you don't want to wait in traffic, park over on East...thats my recommendation. You'll have to walk some, but it does save time.

We don't need to go to Farmville, that's what you are for.

for some reason I feel the need to correct CJ it's not that rural folks LIKE a good fireworks show as much as it is they like to blow stuff up!!!! :P At least that how it seems to be here in "rural" Oklahoma.
