Can anyone recommend any good restaurants for the family?

Ruby Tuesday's is a good restaurant. There is also Outback steak house, Texas road house, golden corral and there are many more that aren't coming to mind at the moment.

La Villa.
Ledo Pizza is great.
All your chain restaurants aren't bad.

Go downtown and eat at Depot Grille, great prices and it's right on the river with a real modern look with the exposed brick.
Try the Chicken Tenders Lite Bite....makes me hungry just thinking about it

Logans...better food and less $$ than Ruby Tuesdays.
TGI Fridays on Timberlake (at the old Sagebrush location) is good, too.

I think we have gone over the restaurant options in town fairly thoroughly with the polls in this forum.
I'm glad to hear a recommendation on the Depot Grille. I saw
their website the other day and it looked very intriguing.
I can tell you my family enjoyed Vinny's on our trip through town last year when we dined with Scar, Smoothie & GMTM.

I like La Villa better than Vinny's.
Yea, I said it.

The Depot Grille is a very cool place. But I think their food is just on the "ok" level.

Depot Grille is a cool place and their food is pretty good.
Neighbors' Place is very good as well, although I haven't eaten there in probably two years or more.
For cheap and sleazy (and tasty), there's Myrts, Weenie Stand and Shanghai Express.
Downtown has some cool little places that I keep meaning to check out. There's a pizza place, a seafood place, a Chinese place (I've been told it's good, but their buffet was lukewarm when I ate there once for a late lunch), and others. You should walk around Downtown a little while you're in town anyway. Maybe after Depot Grille if you go (although Depot is also right by the Black Water Creek trail if you want to walk it off).

If you take the kids to Amazement Square, I'd love to hear a review. The website makes it look pretty sweet.

Sly Amazement Square is amazing for any ages. They always have the coolest events going on and even if you take the little one you'll see yourself having just as much fun as the kids. It's really ahead of it's time as far as learning tools for kids.
