There are many sons and daughters of this region who accomplished much in their lives and who deserve recognition: the Rev. Haywood Robinson, George Stewart, Ron Dolan and Bert Schewel immediately come to mind.

How should their lives, and others, be recognized and remembered?

So did Lee Bertine.

So, basically, their argument against having a Jerry Falwell Parkway is that it leaves out people not named Jerry Falwell. That's just asinine. And transparent.

I vote to name the section Falwell Parkway and paint the road with a "mini-monogram" every 100 yards. How about that!

Aye...of course, that idea does have me thinking...other schools (W&M, VT, UVA) have their logos painted on streets through campus...why shouldn't we do something like that?

The only road on main campus I've seen re-surfaced is the road leading out to the back circle exit to 460.
