Based on our original thread on breakfast, there was a strong difference of opinion on the most important meal of the day. But here are the nominees.

If you don't see your favorite place to start your day, click on 'Other' and state your case in this thread.

no doubt the barrel wins my vote.

I hate to give a vote to a chain, but I voted "Other" because I like eating breakfast at Panera Bread better than just about any other place. It's the meal Panera was designed for. If you've only had lunch or dinner there, you're really missing out.

Crackle Barrell...but that list really points out the need for a DENNY'S in the 'burg.

Gotta side with eagle eye & fumble on this one--Cracker Barrel, but my not-a-chain vote goes to Country Kitchen on Lakeside, because of their service, and Golden Corral does have the best buffet. Another great place to go for breakfast is the Colonial Restaurant just south of town.

I've thought about going to Country Kitchen just because a place like that should have good breakfast.

I like Famous Anthony's too.

I'll give a no vote here. I'm not high on breakfast in Lynchburg. Aunt Sarah's Pancake House up in Charlottesville is pretty good, but that's 60 miles up the road.

We used to have an Aunt Sarah's in Madison Heights, but it closed down.

I actually almost never go out for breakfast because it's so easy (and cheap) to fix at home. I live like 2 minutes from the T-room, so I occasionally go there. I cast a vote for Bob Evans in honor of Jerry. :)

Bob Evans cooks a mean eggs benedict. I went there the other day for dinner and got some crazy pancakes that were topped with strawberries and bannanas and had vanilla cream cheese in between. I felt like I was eating dessert.

No offense, LUconn, but that sounds like a woman's breakfast to me. :cheerleader

does a side of bacon and eggs man it up for you? I didn't know that food was gender specific. Other than salad being for girls.

As long as the bacon is thick and the eggs aren't poached and the coffee is black.
