The U.S. House of Representatives observed a moment of silence last week honoring the late Rev. Jerry Falwell.
Led by Congressman Bob Goodlatte, R-Sixth District, several speakers, including Rep. Virgil Goode, R-Fifth District, paid tribute to Falwell, who died May 15.
Their comments are part of the official Congressional Record for May 22, the day of Falwell’s funeral.
