though it comes on a sad day, flamefans.com gets a mention in the lynchburg fishwrap.

At 1:38 p.m., a member of Flamefans.com, an Internet message board about Liberty University frequented by students and alumni, created a tribute message thread.

"My condolences go out to the entire Falwell family," one message poster wrote. "But as he always pointed out to us when others went on to glory before him, it should also be a time of celebration as he is now in the presence of the Almighty."

Another wrote, "Whether you agreed with everything he said or not, he certainly was a man of conviction and accomplished great things in his life."

I've gotten calls from lots of people who have checked this site out the last 24 hours or so. You'd be suprised how many people have been reading what we're saying. To some, we're as close as they will get to LU/TRBC.
