Just a few weeks after a rare Republican primary election was called, Campbell County Supervisor Rick Boyer is taking his hat out of the ring.

Boyer, who is serving his first term on the board, said he is pulling out because he applied to Liberty University’s law school and though he hasn’t received a formal decision yet, he expects to be accepted.

Whew! When I read the name of the topic, I thought it was something bad. I'm glad to hear it's not!

I'm sure that on his resume will help his chances in the future.
