I thought you were going to say Ozzfest was playing Williams this summer
darn

This is huge because LU has never let "hardcore" bands play on campus. They won't let bands that scream play on campus. The fact they're letting campus bands have a separate, self-promoted, self-booked, etc. show is awesome.

Where is that?
It sounds dangerously close to my office.

I had the same question, ElScorcho...
...I suspect it is somewhere down near the Student Center.

I think that's the big auditorium classroom.
I've only been in two classrooms in North, ever. That and Scorcho's office and the registrar's office.
It's the most confusing building on the planet.

You just have to say concert, because the only Kind of music liberty allows is Rock music...

2nd floor DeMoss puts NC to shame as far as confusing.

I won't be here this weekend, but I'd rather be at the Billy Currington concert at Cattle Annies.

Its the star trek looking room near campus north cafe.....
and this is huge...it almost didn't happen because of insurance reason, they needed an on campus sponsor to get LU insurance to cover it....a couple guys came in an talk to me and this other guy and through many phone calls we finally got the "OK" to do it....
if this show goes well then Josh (another guy at 90.9) and I hope to get more stuff like this going on next semester....
I for one am very much excited....

thats not true man....it took a lot of hard work to get this thing approved...90.9 is working on having more christian hip hop on campus next semester as well....you have to work really hard to get something...you can't take no for an answer...just find the right people and you are in....so do a little work and maybe that could change

haha...I don't like it either...but there is a place for it...and I am all for more of it on campus....
TBGBG doesn't realize how hard it actually was to get a show like this off the ground....a rock show is one thing....but hardcore bands have never been allowed to play...this is a huge step for LU as far as student entertainment goes

Whoa Whoa Whoa... Im not debating the face that it should be any other kind of concert. I realize how hard it is to get people in here andget it approved and props to the people who did it for doing it. Im not dumb, this is a ROCK MUSIC campus, if you want a turn-out and support it has to be rock music, im not bashing it by any means. That just the way this campus is, I know. I was just saying its all either rock music or crap but 99% of the time its both, so im not bashing im just saying its implied that its rock haha
I dont like rock music, but this campus does, so let it do what it do. Im all about the street cred

there is plenty of people on this campus who like hip hop...but it seems whenever someone tries to get something going with it, it dies...anytime there have been hip hop nights there has been a good turn out....i am sure if people worked together to get a hip hop thing going it could go somewhere...
I am working with another guy at the station to actually get more hip hop shows, even though i hate hip hop....there is a place for it...and i am sure next year at this time you will see that hip hop and liberty can work and there is a group of people that would go and see it....
not a whole lot of people like hardcore music (only 2 of these bands are actually hardcore), but there is a group of people that do, so we shouldn't completely ignore that group....

I went to a lot of on campus concerts in my day. Well, maybe not a lot, but it didn't seem like they were groudbreaking events. I guess I'm not seeing the big deal here.

because of the style of music that it is....there are 2 hardcore bands playing...they have never been able to play on campus until now
