A Sea Of Red

If you've been on campus today, you've noticed the LU banners hanging from the light poles as you get on campus. I realize that we're doing this for the Big South track meet, but is there any way we can put up the LU banners on all of the light poles? It looks really nice and adds something else to look at on our campus.

I saw them last night on my way to Wal-mart. They are pretty sharp.

just saw them, they look really nice. it would make the campus look much nicer if they would do it everywhere like jon said

I'm done with classes. I don't go down the main road at all during the day, I noticed the banners last night. Plus my camera's dead.

I would lead with the story of your camera being dead. Otherwise it sounds like you are making excuses!

If you could see traffic on that main road, you'd know why I go the back way.

hey, i've only got 3 tests and a quiz today... so i figured i had plenty of time to snap a few pics.

The last picture and the one three from the bottom are my favorites.

Thanks for the thoughts about the banners. I was contacted by the athletic office to create some. The plain white ones were a specific request from Barber. The ones with the blue & red were my ideas. He liked them as well, so now we have them. I have been waiting a long time for stuff like this on our campus. It just makes it look much more collegiate.

I agree...they make a big difference....but yet it is such a small thing. These are the things that people are really liking about JB...attention to detail. Just the little things that were done to facilities that are not big in the grand scheme of things, but definately add a nice touch.

This for the university could be one of those things...

i noticed the frames for more of the banners in front of vines. i don't remember there ever being any there, but there must have been at one point. i say put them up all the way down infront of vines and demoss. just as everyone has said, they look great and add a little extra "something" to the campus.

i'm a big fan of the ones in the first picture, then the one on the left in the second picture.

Well, my understanding is that by the fall semester, all poles will have banners. Its just a matter of funding all of those banners.
