McLean was working HARD yesturday in Schilling. He wasn't wearing a shirt and I watched him punk an RA, who approached him to put one on.

I don't think that situation has anything to do with restoring the reputation of the team in the eyes of the student body...I've never understood why we have to have a shirt on when we play basketball here...there's a pool right beside the courts in Lahaye...it just doesn't make sense to me.

there used to not be a pool. I always wondered how they were going to handle that.

They were in Schilling....not LaHaye. As far as the pool is concerned, that is a venue where it is appropriate and understood why you don't have a shirt on. Being in the middle of the courts where there are windows all the way to ceiling is not appropriate. There are tours of potential students, their parents and young children who probably don't care to see that type of thing. And if it is so stupid to wear a shirt when you play basketball, why do they have uniforms? Why not just play in shorts???? If people don't like the rules here, you are free to go somewhere else.

That's one of the dumbest rules that we have.

my question is are mckay and soucie aware of this? agree or not with the rule I'm pretty sure they will not support a player showing that level of disrespect to someone in a position of authority...coach mckay's first priority right now is restoring dignity to this program, something RD never understood and turned up his nose at (which explains why RM has so much repair work to do)

RA's are not authority figures, they are people who want to be in charge because nobody likes them

Yes, showing disrespect to make him look stupid.

In the situation mentioned above he disrespected him and challenged him to do something about it... if the RA backs down, he's considered punked.

however, they are put in charge...many times we don't like them, but many times we don't like our boss. does that mean we should "punk" our boss? I guess this goes back to the new age generation where everything is relative and there are no standards.
