Mine went off and on a few times. Our cable went out for about 2 hours or so. I got a phone call at 2:45 from a friend 3 blocks down who's power went out for a while because they were going to come over here if their's didn't come back on.

It's a good thing I use my cell phone for an alarm clock or I would've been screwed in terms of getting up for class.

Our's went off a couple of times...
...thank goodness for battery back-up on the alarm clock. I was actually disappointed that classes were not delayed...
...I wanted to sleep in.

Had this been a Tuesday or Thursday, I have no doubt in my mind classes would've been delayed (although the roads are fine). We've just missed too many days on MWF.

Up here in just east of DC< we have about 3/4 of an inch of ice here. I work in a wholesale florist warehouse so I had to go into work this morning around 3AM. No calling out in this job on Valentine's week. The roads were awful here and as I was driving in, the rain was incredibly hard and froze on contact.

Right now, we are on a on again off again relationship with power and internet and have had no cable for a while now.

4 inches of snow. 2 inches of ice.

Temp = 15 deg F.

Wind chill = (-)6 deg F.

wind gusts 35-45 mph.

perfect for driving around in an ambulance and carrying sick and injured people thru snowdrifts/unplowed roads and walkways.
